So who am I?  My name is Jake Simpson.  I am currently living in Cayucos, CA but was born and raised on my families ranch just outside of Paso Robles, CA.  Growing up my life was mainly dedicated to playing football and for that I have learned strong discipline in all aspects of my life, as well as suffered a bit more physical damage than I planned on.  But what was it that truly shaped my life into becoming a photographer?  A lifestyle filled with ranch life and long hunting/fishing trips with my father allowed me to see the beauty of the outdoors.  That exposure is what I credit my eye for clarity and natural beauty to.

I have recently graduated from the University of La Verne with honors in an art major concentrated in photography.  Many would say that I got a late start into the photography world being that I didn't start until my junior year.  Fortunately for me I quickly found out that I had a natural eye for the right shot.  It wasn't long before I fell in love with being behind the camera and trying to capture the beauty in everything my eye could fall upon.

I work toward creating a business that allows me to both be involved with my families winery, as well as forming my own individual collection of landscape and nature photography.  Utilizing my knowledge of product photography, I have opened up a world doing just as I had hoped for connecting me with my families business.

I now live a life truly blessed!
